Use

Drinking water supplies are decreasing and water is becoming increasingly valuable. Therefore, its use for flushing toilets, laundry washing and garden watering is completely excessive. Rain water reservoirs are dug in containers into which rain water drains from roofs and is consequently pumped into the system of pipes in order to be used.

  • Required size of the reservoir is 0,06 x annual quantity of rain water
  • Annual quantity of rain water is the surface area of the roof x annual precipitation (0,8 m3/m2) x 0,8

Rain water can be used for:

  • Toilet flushing -8 m3 per person per year
  • Laundry -6 m3 per person per year
  • Cleaning -2 m3 per person per year
  • Garden watering -6 m3 per 100 m2 of garden surface area
